Youth Defence's schools program continues to amaze and excite school students - and its international reputation is growing! The Schools Information Project was first piloted back in 1998/99 and proved tremendously successful. Important improvements have been made since then, including a ground-breaking new DVD and the program is in huge demand, with requests for our DVDs and worksheets coming in several times a week from all over the world, from America to Spain to Australia.

“It can be hard to keep on top of the orders!” said Katie Robinson of YD. This is the only complete programme of its kind in Ireland, but now we’re finding that in other countries the demand is growing all the time for a program of this quality.”

Scottish schools now have a team delivering the schools program and the materials and website is also often used in crisis pregnancy centers. Central to the programme is the student materials, featuring glossy, full-colour leaflets and attention-grabbing work quizzes, but the new powerful and informative DVD which has great ultrasound footage of the baby in the womb, is what really sets it apart. The programme uses advanced technology and medical footage to give a startlingly beautiful window into the womb; revealing the amazing humanity and development of the unborn child from conception up until birth.

“Just last week we got an email from a worker in a pro-life crisis pregnancy center in Illinois, who requested copies of our DVD and worksheets. She wrote in to us saying she had spent the day looking online for material appropriate for a school presentation they are working on and when she came across the website she said: ‘I was so excited and amazed to view such a well put together DVD - it was exactly what we were looking for, nothing else measures up to what is on the website’ It’s good to hear the program is so effective and popular,” said Katie Robinson.

“With our materials and presentations constantly being updated to include the most recent information and footage, we hope to be a leading force in bringing the pro-life message to young students and the internet community,” she added. “It’s so exciting to see our program become an international success”.
