SHE’S A BABY... ...NOT A HUMAN GUINEA PIG
Experimenting on human beings sounds pretty unbelievable doesn't it? Surely in this day and age no-one could support this. But your government does. And what's worse they are voting to ensure that your taxes fund experimentation on human babies
Help Stop Experimentation on Unborn Human Life!
On the 27th of November, the EU Council of Ministers will vote on a proposal to decide whether or not to fund embryo research. But embryo research actually involves using unborn human babies for testing.
Mary Harney, your local TD, will represent Ireland at this vote and she has stated that she cannot see any reason to vote against this proposal. Is Mary Harney representing your views when she votes to spend your tax money to fund human experimentation? Mary Harney was elected to represent you. But whose views are being represented at the EU?
If this proposal is passed, the EU will give €17.5 billion for research, which includes research on human embryos. This means that you, the taxpayer, will be funding research on human lives, even though it is against the law in Ireland. Is this what you want done with your taxes? Remember this money will ultimately come from your pocket.
Ireland's Vote
The good news is that Ireland can stop this funding in its tracks. Austria, Italy and Germany are rejecting this proposal. They are counting on Ireland to be the fourth country in a "blocking minority" to make sure the proposal is not passed. Please call the Tainiste today and demand that she represent you and your country appropriately by rejecting this research program.
