The Irish government will announce the members of a committee that will examine whether or not changes to legislation are required regarding abortion, following the European Court of Human Rights ruling on the ABC case. At the ruling in Strausbourg in December, the ECHR gave the Irish Government six months to prepare a plan, in which they outline the actions they have taken and will take to execute the ECHR judgment on the ABC case. Pro-life activists have said that the first step the government should take is to tell the Council of Europe to desist from interfering in Ireland's sovereign right to ban abortion.

The members of this committee will consist of medical and legal experts, who will make recommendations to the coalition Government on Ireland's pro-life laws and determine whether or not they comply with the European Convention on Human Rights.
A Government spokesman confirmed last night that they were finalizing a plan to submit to the Council of Europe but could not comment on the details of the plan. But it is believed that Fine Gael and Labour will work together on the proposal and will jointly establish this committee to address the issue of abortion. Since Labour strongly favour abortion-on-demand, the may not be good news.
In the lead-up to the general election at the beginning of this year, Eamon Gilmore and Enda Kenny disagreed on the issue of abortion. Gilmore told RTE's News at One that he would introduce abortion on 'life and health' grounds. This is the same model that the UK uses, which results in more than 180,000 dead babies every year, in lunchtime abortions, and in abortion right through until birth for children with disabilities. Taoiseach Enda Kenny, on the other hand, said he believed the response to the ECHR judgment was to take the issue of abortion to an Oireachtas committee to decide what to do.
Last week, the Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, Thomas Hammarberg, met last week with Deputy Prime Minister Eamon Gilmore, Minister for Justice Alan Shatter and unnamed "human rights groups." Hammarberg then issued a demand that the Irish government should legislate for abortion and they needed to "clarify" when women can have abortions under the current law.
The meeting between Gilmore and Hammarberg is particularly suspicious, since he has been publicly pushing for the country to legalize abortion since before the last general election. It's part of the pre-arranged, choreographed political ploy, to bully Ireland on abortion.
This is the time for every pro-life person in Ireland to loudly proclaim to Europe that Ireland is pro-life, and that the Irish people are sovereign nation and we will not allow our human rights to be hijacked.
Former MEP Dana Rosemary Scallon said "It is not the job of Council of Europe Commissioners to act as tourists going around Europe promoting abortion. An unelected Commissioner has no right to bully and intimidate the Irish people or seek out politicians who would provide an 'open door' for their agenda."

I completely & utterly reject the proposal of the Government to introduce the Murder of innocent Babies in this our Catholic Country. There can never be the blessing of God on any country that favours such a diabolical act.

Life exists itself as a mystery. Because it is so, all questions of extending values and questions of understanding prevail as a norm; not as negatives but as positives of acceptance and for our personal approval that life is there, existing, as for us as thinking," self aware human beings ", being answerable to the very conscience that we live with, through and perceive by, that which we call Conscience.
It is to this fact of certainty that I address my thoughts: so that rational thinking, fellow men and women and children human being will accept that proof of our own very nature and, of ability to work-out perfect answers, has to be understood to be imperfect. By this admission we accept that we are Not the authors of our own life, ability to change things as we would like by conceiving the knowledge that something needed to be perfected. By this admission we accept we are not God; nor God of our own future. By saying this to one and all, l affirm that this debate and decision making on the Right Of Abortion is as certain to be incorrect as if one asserts that The Right of Life against Abortion is an Absolute in its dissemination. All because the imponderable is that the Evaluation in making the decision includes the variable of Care Of Life to both Mother and child in her womb.
But in its essential make up of decision-making the one truth is that Life Should Not be taken, ended or aborted because " an error, miss-timing, oversight, too inconvenient,- awkward as one is not married- as all created Life is of the imperfect human species, which includes the wrongful, criminal actions and assaults on the women of this world of ours.
is killed deliberately because of the nature of being
conceived in ,most sadly, circumstances of violence against the woman and her live-giving womb. But the question is, once incepted as a life form it is of its own person and soul presence to Creation. Thus it could
amend most admirably, by becoming to the World which questioned its right to Exist for reasons of acceptability to its Assaulted/Attacked/wounded MOTHER, by becoming a doctor of science/ a nightingale modern Nurse/ A Madam
Cure/Inventor or discoverer of cancer cures/ a defender of women's rights . Anything is feasible. One thing is certain
If one eliminates and extinguishes by abortion that Embryo
of Life attained, no chance exists that such Praiseworthy citizens can ever inhabit this planet if Abortion is seen as
expediting a Waste-Product-Of-Human-garbage exercise, nothing else. I'd Rather see we would give every life form a right to become what it exists from. With Respects to God whom I believe is author and creator of all . Brian 0'Chjeallaigh

Isn't it interesting that they're willing to give away the rights of others? While they enjoy the best of what life has to offer.
Let's remember the words of GK Chesteron:
"Man sometimes forgives. God always forgives (when we repent). But nature NEVER forgives.
Perhaps some of our lawmakers are willing to lose heaven. By the way, Aquinas proved there is a God using only the arguments of science and philosophy. This could be a very serious moment for our lawmakers.

Deep down young people across the world are beginning to realise that a generation of politicians have done communities and nations terrible injustices by introducing abortion, civil union and other unnatural laws into society. Young people recognise the Truth when they encounter it, abortion is a lie and they know it. Europe needs a European Spring. Abortion clinics are guilty of a crime against humanity. Daniel O'Connell and Gandhi made changes, there is no reason for any doubt the young people across Europe can do the same. Is feidir leat.

we need to show and educate all Irish People, especially young people, -- on the harsh reality of abortion in other countries, on the reality of life beginning at conception -- and on the identity and agenda of those Irish politicians and academics, their media and other enablers and fellow travellers, -- who are now subtly pushing for abortion legislation. No politician of any party supporting abortion, in any election, presidential, local or otherwise -- should get any vote, while they support legislation introducing abortion to Ireland. Well done YD.
