Up to 83 per cent of people say the Youth Defence National Roadshow is their only source of information about abortion.
Today, Wednesday 13th of July, Youth Defence sets out on their 15th Annual Nationwide Roadshow, which has become the main pro-life event of the summer, and this year it promises to be the most successful pro-life tour yet.
In excess of 50 people have committed to assist on the Roadshow, and as always we expect locals and newly-joined members to help out with the pro life information stalls we plan to hold in various towns and cities across the country.
Over the ten day period we will be visiting a large stretch of the country reaching from Donegal to Waterford, encompassing a total of 18 towns and cities.
The Roadshow ensures that the pro-life message is distributed far and wide throughout Ireland in the most effective way possible. It also provides a vital opportunity for tens of thousands of people to see, read and learn the truth about abortion. During last years Roadshow we learned that 83 per cent of people we met stated they had no other source of pro-life information. Without the Roadshow they would have been left completely in the dark on this most under-reported of fundamental human rights issues.
This year’s Roadshow is also going to have the added purpose of training a group of college students from the USA in pro-life action. Youth Defence’s style of anti-abortion campaigning has been adopted by different pro-life groups all over the world and we look forward to instilling in these young people the confidence and knowledge necessary to effectively campaign against abortion.
