Youth Defence’s No Exceptions Campaign, is working to protect human life from lethal research, experimentation and abuse.
The first phase of the campaign made the No Exceptions report widely available to the pro-life community and to every parish in Ireland. It prepared us all for this next phase of the campaign.
Phase II of the No Exceptions Campaign is being rolled out across the country during July and August. Using poster and bus-shelter advertising to reach as many people as possible and have launched a special website, www.embryoresearch.org to help explain the key issues and encourage lobbying politicians.
A media blitz is also underway, with an emphasis on local radio. To date more than 24 stations and newspapers have interviewed Youth Defence with regard to the campaign. The campaign team hope to visit parishes to the importance of the issue and the need to lobby their politicians.
Most importantly, as always, Youth Defence aim to ensure that this campaign reaches as many people as possible through distribution of information leaflets.
A meeting will be held this Saturday, 5th August in Wynn’s Hotel Dublin at 12 noon. This meeting is to organise the most efficient means of getting leaflets distributed in the Dublin area.
Youth Defence says that this is a battle that can be won. Recent polls show that 55% of Irish people are opposed to experiments on human life. The commitment of Pro Life people to this campaign can hold, and build, that majority. It will also ensure that the voices of the majority are heard.
