The pro-life group Youth Defence has said that their You. Me. Everybody. billboard campaign has "kick-started a major 6-month nationwide drive to ensure that the human embryo is legally protected from conception."

The colourful, thought-provoking billboard is the centrepiece of the You. Me. Everybody. public awareness campaign which will also utilise up to 500,000 fact-cards: mini-versions of the billboard with some key facts on the reverse side.
Youth Defence said that the advert "focuses the attention of the public on the fact that 'we're all just grown-up embryos' and on the need to protect life at a time when the government is planning legislation on the human embryo following the RvR case. Spokeswoman Katie Robinson said that it was imperative that this legislation defended the right to life of every person from conception.
"We've a sequence of projects planned for the next six months and they all have the same aim: ensuring that embryonic stem cell research, cloning and the deliberate destruction of the human embryo are outlawed in Ireland," said Ms Robinson.
She said that the campaign would involve advertising, social media, and information drives, and that it would cost approximately €180,000. "It's testament to how strongly people feel about protecting unborn human life that we can raise funds for the campaign from a great many ordinary people in this dreadful recession."
Ms Robinson said that successive opinion polls showed that a huge majority of people wanted the human embryo protected from conception - and that this majority would not accept any attempt by the government or its many quangos to overrule their wishes.
